Dawn

Well since she's the hot topic right now, i decided that i shall blog about this whole saga going on in this virtual (and very evil) Online World.

But first, i must admit that she is VERY ATTRACTIVE to me and many other guys. She is pretty, very eligible, and HOT. I know you are going to bombard me next with all the claims of her plastic-ness and fake-ness. I know i know, all these i know. But that doesn't cover up the fact that she is most, or many guys' fantasy.

I do think her face looks fake. Her nose is SURELY fake.

Besides that, her face is re-shaped at the sides to make it sharper and smaller. Her eyes are cut to produce the double eye lids and a bigger width and length.

These are after she did her eyes, so the big pretty eyes are there. Her nose has been fixed, but i believe her fixed it more than just one time, for sure. In these pics she still has the chinese face. Now, with her nose bridge fixed higher, narrower, and connected with her high and bulging forehead, she transformed into an Angmo face.

Okay, i have to emphasize that i'm not an ANTI-DAWN-YANG.

What spurred me to do this entry is the sympathy i felt for her situation now - People writing really nasty things about her, and setting up hate-websites like the infamous http://dawnwayang.com/ etc.

How would you feel if you are trapped in her situation now?

It is easy to shoot judgement and spew criticism, hurl insults and falseful assumption at someone else. Well you DO NOT feel the pain anyway. But what if one day this happens to you?

I agree that no one judges another; only God can do the judging. It's not as if we are at all righteous and holy enough to be picking on another person when there're things about us that are unpleasant as well.

Let me state a fact:

The Beauty Myth.

We are but the same after all. With Image being such an important factor in so many areas of our lives, we are all mere victims of this Beauty Myth Onslaught.

SAME SAME.

You might argue that, no, i'm not like Dawn Yang who goes for this this this surgery, cut here and there, and paste this and that.

But there is no denying that (most)people of our generation are narcissistic and always on this pursuit after hedonistic indulgences.

WE LOVE OURSELVES, MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD.

Everything we do is to satisfy our fleshly desires. If we have the craving for ice cream, we go for it. On the other hand, those who craves but restrict themselves are probably those on diet.

I want to be skinny and pretty, FOR MYSELF; so that i can have the confidence of parading myself around in my OWN unique style of dressing, telling the world I AM WHO I AM!

So why blame and even insult Dawn to such great extent just because she indulges in her pursuit for fleshly pleasure. She wants Beauty, she goes for it through surgery.

I think some people are just jealous of her for being able to indulge in her pursuit for the ultimate beauty, and also for being successful in it. Eventually their envy and jealousy turned SOUR.

She may not be perfect like those Korean stars in hiding their surgery background or her overall face structure (since it is the changing of an Asian Face to an Angmo face), but as what i had said, she IS beautiful.

Different people pursue the image they yearn to be themselves in their mind differently.

For instance, i went to the gym and there are muscular guys, who once you see them you know, they take pride in their physique. They look into the mirror wall with admiration as they flex their muscles, or scrutinise every movement as they do the reps of dull-bell drills.

Xiaxue, my favourite blogger also did her nose, yet she is able to gain popularity through it. The special thing about her is that she dares to admit it. Well even if deep down she doesn't dare to admit it or doesn't want to(which i know she isn't for both cos she's such a straightforward and daring person), she still have to admit it 'cos HER NOSE IS SPONSORED BY MEDIACORP.

So comparing Dawn and XX, one who denies everything and one who admits everything.

But does it really matters!?

We support XX by saying, YEA YEA IF YOU DARE TO DO IT YOU SHOULD ALSO DARE TO ADMIT IT MA DAWN!

But if we put ourselves in Dawn's shoes, assuming that we each went for a plastic surgery for one part of our face or body which we are not well pleased with, do you think we can be like XX, who can garner all the courage and say,

YES I GOT MY NEW NOSE, EYE, CHIN (WHATEVER IT IS) AND I'M SOOOOOOOO HAPPY!

Then we log on to our blog, friendster, facebook, online journal etc. and put the front BIG BIG plus a picture to be the evidence.

MY NEW FACE! LIKE IT?? (:

That person who can do it is either XX, XX's clone, an idiot, or just a crazy person.

Who would want such a news about themselves to be spreaded around right. XX did it also partly for the blog counts lor.

SO... Why are people so persistent in digging into DAWN'S "WOUND"?

Why wouldn't they just leave her alone and let her continue doing her own stuff?

Well my guess is they are probably people who have NO LIFE , that's why they "indulge" in disturbing/destroying someone else's life.

If this whole saga did not start, Dawn Yang would be quite an ordinary girl. She would be living her own life, doing her own stuffs, bla bla bla...

Oh the thing is Dawn Yang also didn't really do anything that is very offensive or disturbing to other people anyway. And the important point is,

You can only be offended when you allowed yourself to.

There are people who are like "I just dont like Dawn. She is so "fake". And you know what, i've read so much bad things about her online. Wah i hate her lor..."

Okay.

Who is she to you and you to her for you to be so full of hatred and dislike towards her? Hello? You do not even know her. Perhaps you'd never even seen her in real life before!

I think people who just hop along with the crowd onto this bandwagon called "I HATE DAWN YANG 'COS SHE IS SO FAKE" are just people who lack their own opinion, and thus they follow blindly.

Their eyes are darkened and they believe most, if not, every thing that they see, read, or hear about.

I'm NOT saying that everyone who dislike Dawn are like that, but i believe most of them are. Additionally, you CAN HATE HER. But i just feel that there is a need for everyone to think through and internalise their thoughts and feelings themselves.

There is another group of people who are as such: "Actually i dont really hate her la, but since everyone is writing and discussing about her, i just join in the bitching fun lor."

Don be so childish people.

Plus, what goes around comes around (: TADA!

So be careful, sometimes nasty things you carelessly allowed to befall on another can easily backfire. Well God SEES EVERYTHING YOU KNOW.

So, finally back to my main point, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THIS THING HAPPENS TO YOU? Your friends or random people at your workplace etc start to bitch about you behind your back, and you somehow KNOWS ABOUT IT. Then eventually you face the reality that they bitch and glare at you openly.

Let's not indulge in others' misery. Let's make a stand and resist the temptation.

Because someone is really hurting. Do you really have to see the tears to feel his/her pain? No you don't.

So make a stand and resist it. Once again, always remember, what goes around comes around. Even when you hide behind the screen, the cloak of anonymousity cannot protect and cover your ass forever. Sometimes Karma can be really strong. You bitch about Dawn or anyone online over the virutal net, some may be starting to bitch about you behind your back in your real life already.

Oh you said you don't care? Oh you really do? THINK AGAIN MAN. Since when you feel very good when someone told you another hates you? We will always feel that punch or squeeze in our chest.

We all live for our Image afterall...
