The End Times

Matthew 24 :3

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

War and Devastation

7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

The conflicts happening among the countries, which are so disturbing and prominent in today's world, should be very sufficient enough to explain it all. Every nation feverishly fights for their ought-to-be-theirs-since-long-long-time-ago rights and freedom, the depleting world resources, the tiny pieces of land along the borders and yadda yadda. All for the glory of their respective economies that is. All about money, wealth and most importantly, ourselves (:

Earthquakes, Famines and other disasters

And do I still need to further elaborate on this? Every year, I repeat, EVERY YEAR! there will be something new adding on to the current problems we are facing.

The Hand-Foot-Mouth disease

Malaria in poverty-stricken regions

Dengue Fever

Poverty

Bird Flu

Famines and impending global food and water supply shortage

Global Warming

Floods and droughts

Cyclones

Tsunamis

Terrorism and its random bombings

Earthquakes!!!

Conflicts among nations

Human Rights Violation issues

Still-so-ongoing Slavery problem

Random school or neighbour mass killings

Civil Wars

Racial Discrimination

Oppression and subjugation of people

Volcano eruptions

And I have not gone into the more close-to-heart social problems of this world today YET.

Mother Nature is kiling people. People are killing people. What a big joke.

The persecution of Christians in some Asian countries

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Very ongoing but i cant seem to find any good pictures on that. Well it's an extremely sensitive issue anyway; yet an open secret at the same time. Well i decided not to be so open with the naming of the specific countries to save me from getting into any trouble in the future. Ha!
It is a fact that people were and are being tortured for their beliefs. There are underground christian meetings and churches. Everything needs to be carried out very cautiously. People live in fear of being found out that they are christians, which may cause them their very lives. But they just keep going! What an admirable spirit!

The End of Age
29"Immediately after the distress of those days"
'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

Revelation 9

1The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.

And back to Matthew 24...

32"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
To be frank, I look forward to the second coming of Christ. And i believe we need to be very brave and courageous, for along with it come all the disasters and devastation we have to face.
You might ask, if God is a good God, then why is he allowing all these to happen to us, whom He'd claimed and still claims to love.
Well you have to get this clear that we are living in a fallen world. In the very beginning, the mistake of one man, Adam, has brought sin into this world. God did not create the world to punish it. Do you actually think that God finds pleasure in seeing people being born into suffering, live in suffering, and then die in suffering?
No. It is written very clearly that God wants us to enjoy our lives.
John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
The thief in this verse refers to the devil, the sin that has entered this world. But rejoice, for Jesus has come so that we can have LIFE. And life not of shortage and misery, but a life of great abundance! A life to enjoy, with joy and happiness so full that it overflows.
But you may say that the situation isn't very promising at all, so how can you be happy about anything? Well the very breath that you are taking while reading this is already a blessing. Count your blessings people.
Even though things may not be going well in your life now, don't give up hope. Turn to God, who'd promised you rest and peace whenever you came to Him and surrender all your problems and worries.
Well then, you may ignorantly question again, "As though God is going to do anything with my problems and my messed up life. My problems are still gonna be there when i turn back and look."
THEN DON'T! Dont turn back. Cry out to Him, or just say a simple prayer of faith. Even something as simple as "HELP!!!!!" OR "Save me oh Lord" OR "I need You to be here with me Father" will do the job.
Matthew 17:20
He(Jesus) replied, "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
If only you have faith! So easy yet also the hardest thing to do. To believe.
Last but not least, I hereby pray for those who have suffered from the current China Earthquake.
God, give them some more time, please. God, I pray that people will turn to you in their desperate times, and that You will offer Your hand of hope for those who ask. And I pray that they will receive strength and courage, and protection from any more physical or mental harm. May Your mercy and grace be upon them. Forgive them oh Almight Lord. Forgive them for they do not know what they have been, and are doing. And give us some more time so that we can reach out to them and preach the gospel. They have every right to hear Your word. Let's pray for time all you people. And praise the Lord for He has heard us, as He has always been.
