This is the thing that i have been trained on over and over again these days.
I was made to wait indefinitely. I was made to sit and watch things that i cannot control go by. I was made to watch the clock tick and the time crawl. I was to face uncertainty which i could not tear open to reveal its true identity. I was ''trapped'' in a series of situations where i was vulnerable and subjected to all the little happenings that were screaming at my face.
Things could be overwhelming but i was slowly getting used to it. I've learnt that the more i care about things that i cant do anything about, the more frantic i will become. And that's a bad thing. A VERY BAD THING.
Well i guess it's a part of growing up - you learn to accept and disgest the fact that things are not going to go your way all the time. You gotta let it sink in. You then also realise that you do not have to always have everything under your control to live an organised or satisfying life.
Indeed, immature people are afraid of changes. Immature people are afraid of things getting out of their control. They cannot deal with sudden variations because they are not mature enough to do so, and they know that from deep within. They become frantic and frastrated easily, and feel that everything is spoiled just because something(it could have been just a tiny part) has gone out of their will or plan. Then they give up everything with a bad attitude. This description is pretty close to a perfectionist too i think.
We have control-freaks around us. And most of the time we took notice of this trait of theirs the moment they start to indulge in their out-of-control urge to be in control.
I once had a friend who's like that. Someone who thinks that the world and every single freakin' breathing human in it revolve around one, and do not accept any ideology besides that. Someone who wants everything to be in accordance with one's wishes, which are usually foolish and childish impulses guided by or engendered from mere emotions and feelings.
Someone who is very self-centred, and definitely irresponsible towards the way one sees or treats others. It's all with that "What about me!? What about me!? WHAT ABOUT ME!?!!!!" attitude.
They are unforgiving towards others and certainly, impatient. Their time is their own, and others' they deem as less important, or not even significant if to be put to comparison to theirs. They are the top priority in their lives.
Patience is a great virtue because it can be everywhere, seen or under cover. Patience is to be cultivated because it is nurturingto one's attitude.
(to be cont, someday somehow)
